Overview:
A growing engineering organisation in the East Midlands is seeking a Sales Manager to lead business growth across manufacturing, mechanical engineering, fabrication, and industrial clients. You’ll manage key accounts, win new business, lead the sales strategy and help drive the company’s next stage of expansion. Full autonomy, strong backing from senior leadership and major earning potential.
Responsibilities:
• Develop and execute a sales strategy targeting engineering, manufacturing and industrial sectors
• Manage key accounts, strengthen relationships and maximise revenue opportunities
• Identify, pursue and win new business across OEMs, fabricators, machine shops and engineering firms
• Lead quoting, tendering and proposal activity in partnership with technical and commercial teams
• Attend site visits, client meetings and industry events to build strong pipelines
• Work closely with engineering teams to understand solutions, capabilities and technical offerings
• Forecast sales, track KPIs and report performance to senior management
• Build and mentor a small sales team as the department grows
• Drive continuous improvement in sales processes, customer experience and market penetration
Requirements:
• Experience as a Sales Manager / Business Development Manager within engineering or manufacturing
• Strong understanding of mechanical engineering, fabrication, machining or industrial solutions
• Proven track record of developing pipelines and closing mid-to-high value deals
• Confident communicator with excellent commercial awareness
• Ability to work with technical teams and translate customer requirements
• Self-driven, organised and capable of operating with autonomy
• Full UK driving licence
