Salary: £15.50–£20.00 per hour + overtime (×1.5 & ×2)
Location: Ilkeston
Type: Permanent

Overview:
A well-established precision engineering company in Ilkeston is looking for an experienced CNC Miller to join their machining team. You’ll work on high-tolerance components for aerospace, automotive and general engineering, using modern CNC mills with full support, training and excellent overtime availability.

Responsibilities:
• Set, operate and edit CNC milling machines (Fanuc / Heidenhain / Mazak depending on experience)
• Produce precision components to tight tolerances from engineering drawings
• Carry out tool changes, offsets, adjustments and minor edits at the control
• Machine one-offs, small batch and production-run components
• Conduct first-off, in-process and final quality checks
• Work with a range of materials: aluminium, mild steel, stainless, tool steels
• Maintain machine cleanliness, tooling condition and general housekeeping
• Collaborate with engineers and supervisors to solve machining issues
• Work safely and follow all workshop procedures

Requirements:
• Proven CNC Milling background – setter/operator minimum
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
• Strong understanding of tolerances, speeds, feeds and tooling
• Experience with Fanuc, Heidenhain or Mazak controls (any considered)
• Confident machining one-offs and small batches
• Good problem-solving skills and keen attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
