Overview:
Join a rapidly expanding Derby engineering business delivering high-quality welded and fabricated components for major national and global clients. You’ll work on precision TIG welding (mild & stainless), bespoke sheet-metal fabrication, and varied project builds used across industries such as aerospace, automotive, utilities, food production, and advanced manufacturing. No two days are the same — this is a workshop where quality matters and where your skills genuinely move the needle. With the company growing fast, you’ll have clear routes into coded TIG qualifications, advanced fabrication, project-based work, and long-term progression.

Responsibilities:

• TIG welding mild and stainless steel to high standards
• Sheet metal fabrication: cutting, folding, forming, assembling
• Working from engineering drawings with accuracy
• Building bespoke and batch components for national/global projects
• Finishing, polishing, and quality-checking all work
• Collaborating with the fabrication team on varied builds
• Maintaining a clean, safe, and well-organised work area

Requirements:

• Strong TIG welding experience (mild & stainless)
• Sheet metal fabrication skills
• Ability to read engineering drawings
• Good eye for detail and high-quality workmanship
• Reliable, punctual, team-focused
• Desire to develop into coded TIG / advanced fabrication
