Overview:
You’ll join a modern, well-organised machine shop working with high-end CNC machinery on precision engineering projects for major industries. This is a long-term development role — perfect for someone ambitious who wants to grow from trainee/junior level into a highly skilled CNC Machinist.
Responsibilities:
• Operate CNC milling/turning machines under supervision
• Assist with setting tools, fixtures, and workholding
• Follow drawings, measurements, and machining instructions
• Maintain a clean, safe, organised working area
• Support the team with general machining tasks
• Develop skills in programming, tooling selection, and process improvement
• Learn company machining standards, tolerances, and quality requirements
Requirements:
• Some hands-on engineering or machining experience (college, workshop, apprenticeship, or previous employment)
• Ability to read basic engineering drawings (training provided)
• Strong interest in machining, engineering, and learning new skills
• Good attitude, punctual, reliable, and confident to ask questions
• Keen to build a long-term career in CNC machining
