Overview:
Fantastic opportunity for an experienced Electrical Field Service Engineer to join a rapidly expanding engineering organisation working on high-reliability, high-performance electrical systems. You’ll be servicing and supporting critical power, backup systems, industrial machinery, and advanced electrical infrastructure across a wide range of customer sites. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on technical challenge, autonomy, travel, and high-stakes problem-solving.
Responsibilities:
• Service, repair, and commission electrical equipment across industrial and commercial sites
• Diagnose faults on control panels, UPS systems, switchgear, distribution boards, motors, inverters, sensors, and PLC-driven equipment
• Carry out planned maintenance, inspections, testing, and compliance checks (18th Edition level)
• Install, configure, and upgrade electrical systems and components
• Perform electrical testing, fault-finding, isolation, and safety procedures to high standards
• Produce accurate service reports, risk assessments, and documentation
• Provide technical support and guidance to customers on-site
• Represent the company professionally while maintaining strong customer relationships
Requirements:
• Strong electrical engineering background (NVQ Level 3 / 18th Edition essential)
• Skilled in fault-finding on industrial equipment, control systems, motors, drives, and electrical panels
• Experience in field service or maintenance engineering
• Confident reading complex electrical schematics and technical documentation
• Comfortable working independently on customer sites
• Strong communication, time management, and problem-solving skills
• Full UK driving licence
